We just saw The Runaways last night and were totally inspired. True originals- Joan Jett and Cherie Currie always did it their way- so instead of running out and buying the reproductions of the flashback trends, we wanted the real thing. Monica Vitti is the muse of Michaelangelo Antonioni. I’ve been extremely influenced by her style in movies such as Modesty Blaise and L’Avventura. Monica has an elegance that is impossible to imitate yet inspiring to attempt to achieve. I have also included a video in this post because she’s even more captivating and beautiful on camera.

Tuesday, March 9th, 2010There are only a few more weeks left before the black slump is over- but my affair with the absence-of-all-colors color is not over yet. To keep it interesting- I mixed these Catapult Vintage glossy pieces for a photoshoot for NV Salon. The black leather pencil skirt and black fur chubby are now available on the racks- soon to be available online. The black leather bandage dress by Alexander Wang in the collage below was the inspiration for this look. All of these ‘chic noir’ enhancing accessories are from Catapult Vintage. Yes, I’m loving it all- still.
